Weigh In
168.6lbs this morning. Down 1lb. Not happy. I know it wasn't helped by Lee and my nephew's birthday BBQ last night. My eating wasn't too bad last week, but I need to get off my butt! I've been super busy with the start of our full school schedule (complete with last minute (literally, on Tuesday) curriculum buying), but that's no real excuse. 20 minutes doesn't take up my whole day!

Ass Kicking Time
I started back up yesterday in full swing, both in diet and school. I don't think I did too bad! The scale yesterday said 171.8lbs but I knew it was helped by salty BBQ food Monday night so I re-weighed in today. 169.6lbs. Much better.
So my plan....
Mini goal - 164lbs by month's end
Mid goal - 157lbs by end of October
Final goal - 150lbs by end of November
That's 19lbs in 12 weeks - 1.58lbs a week. It'll be hard, but I really want to be there! Also, to be my final goal weight BEFORE all the holiday baking would be awesome lol
Yesterday I did pretty well in the food dept. My usual bagel and cream cheese for breakfast (though I really do need to go get my weight watchers bagels instead of the big white ones I have now), honeydew and cantaloupe for lunch, a small wrap with about 1/8 cup chicken and the rest peppers and onions for supper and some more honeydew for a bedtime snack. Normally I wouldn't have a bedtime snack cause I tend to just mindlessly eat, but this was a planned snack with a set portion and I didn't even want to mindlessly eat afterwards!
We met up with our homeschool group at lunch and went on a 1.5km hike. I think it was further than that, but I'll have to see if the website for the place lists distances. Brianna and I enjoyed the hike so much we want to go back soon and often!
Today I skipped breakfast (BAD!) but had another small wrap like yesterday for lunch. Now to figure out something that won't kill me for supper.

Sprint to the Finish - Week 10
Well, I'm down to 167.6lbs but still 6.8lbs from my Sprint to the Finish goal :( I also missed my walking goal of 100 miles by Aug 1 by 4.68 miles. I don't feel *too* bad about that one though. I have a new walking challenge that I joined through Daily Mile. 50 miles by Labour Day. Hope I can get this one in!
I'll be harder training my daughter and niece in the next 3 weeks before their triathlon so I'll get some more walking in that way. But of course what they need to work on the most is running endurance and I can't run more than 50 meters, so yeah, most of their running time, I just sit and time them.
I need to get more weights and other cardio in though. Because of the humidity continuing into the evenings I've felt like barfing even before I start my walk/run program. I'll be able to do better come fall, but that's so far away!

Sprint to the Finish - Week 8
Last week:
Nurtitional:
I will drink 80+oz of water each day. No problem in this heat!
I will eat breakfast everyday *before* 10am. I've discovered my problem here.... with my lovely hubby laid off and getting up with the kids every morning to let me sleep in, I am waking up too late to feel awake enough to eat. This then leads to me not being able to fall asleep until midnight or later, meaning I sleep in the next day. I will be working on this.
Have a fruit smoothie at least once for lunch. Forgot all about it
Have a salad for one meal at least 4 times this week. Made it to 3 again. Really working for 4 this week, starting with salad planned for supper tonight!
Physical:
I will walk at least 7 miles this week. only 5.46m :(
I will do 2 days of my walk/run program. I got one in, but then my route was taken over by the local fair lol It's down now, so provided the humidity doesn't kill me, I'll get my 2 in this week
Up doing weights to at least twice this week. I didn't do 2 different sessions, but I did do an hour of weights and stretches with Brianna and my niece this week, so feel justified in counting it (since my normal weights routine is only about 20 minutes)
Go to bed before 11pm every night. See eating breakfast.
I seem to have hit a wall of sorts. For the last 3-4 weeks I've been floating between 169 and 172. It's really peeving me off! I have a mini-goal for tomorrow (Olivia's birthday) that looked as easy as pie to hit a month ago yet now I'm more than 4lbs from it. I'm going to have to try to jump start the losing again. I've still got 12lbs before I'm even vaguely happy with my weight so I certainly can't stop here!!!

Sprint to the Finish - Week 6
I missed out last week because of our family crisis. It's pretty well over now and I need to jump back on the band wagon! Since my last STTF weigh in I've only gained .6lbs. But I actually dropped to 168.8lbs in my missing time and and now up to 170.8 meaning a gain of 2lbs :( Time to kick butt!
Nurtitional:
I will drink 80+oz of water each day.

I will do 2 days of my walk/run program.

Sprint to the Finish - Week 4
We had family crisis this past week that is still going on, so most of my goals weren't even cared about. I did still manage to lose some stress weight!
Nurtitional:
I will drink 80+oz of water each day. I did manage this most days
I will eat breakfast everyday *before* 10am. Didn't happen
Have a fruit smoothie at least once for lunch. Didn't happen
Try a new "diet" recipe. Didn't happen
Physical:
I will walk at least 7 miles this week. Did 8.8 miles!
I will do 2 days of my walk/run program. Didn't happen
Up doing weights to at least twice this week. Didn't happen
Go to bed before 11pm every night. Deff didn't happen!
Weight: down 2.6lbs!
Because of what's still going on, I'm not going to bother setting specific goals, just doing my best. Hopefully I'll be able to get back on track soon!

Last Week's Goals:
Nutritional:
I will drink 80+oz of water each day. I did great everyday but Saturday. I almost missed yesterday too, but chugged 30oz after 9pm last night lol
I will eat breakfast everyday *before* 10am. I completely forgot about breakfast one day, but otherwise got it done
Have a fruit smoothie at least once for lunch. Check!
Try a new "diet" recipe. This one actually ties into the smoothie one. I tried one of those fruit/veggie smoothies but adding pumpkin to my smoothie. It was only about 20 calories and made the smoothie extra smooth.
Physical:
I will walk at least 6 miles this week. Did almost 8 miles!
I will do 2 days of my walk/run program. I did do one of them. I was going to yesterday but ended up taking Olivia to the park with me. Does walk/running after a 2 yr old count? lol
Up doing weights to at least twice this week. I actually completely forgot about weights :(

Sprint to the Finish - Week 2
Joining up with Kris at Eclipsed
Last Week's Goals:
Nutritional:
I will start tracking in Daily Plate again. I got back into it! And only went over my calorie goal once and it was only by about 140 cals, so not horrible.
I will drink 80+oz of water each day. I did it! On Saturday I was out of town (and hate bottled water), but still chugged back about 70oz in 4 hours to get my goal!
I will eat breakfast everyday *before* 10am. I actually managed to do this (though I forgot this morning lol)
Physical:
I will walk at least 6 miles this week. I did just over 6 miles. Unfortunately, too much of it was at too slow of a pace IMO.
I will do 2 days of my walk/run program. I have nothing but excuses as to why I didn't get this done, so I won't bother
I will do at least one days of weights. Check!
Weight: down 1.2lbs
This Week's Goals:
Nutritional:
Last week's goals PLUS....
Have a fruit smoothie at least once for lunch. Since I'm not a big liquid drinker other than water and coffee, this "lunch" last me a long time, so I'm fuller, longer
Try a new "diet" recipe. There's only a gazillion out there that is super yummy but low in calories.
Physical:
Last Week's Goals PLUS....
Up doing weights to at least twice this week. I really have no upper body strength, so I want to make sure to keep up the muscles I DO have!
As a bonus, I re-did my measurements from 20lbs ago. I am A.M.A.Z.E.D.
Inches lost:
Chest - 4 1/2in
Belly - 4 1/2n
Hips - 1 3/4in

Exercise Log - Week 16
Upped my mileage this week, but too much of it was at too slow of a speed :( I did add in a bike ride though!
Mileage: 6.38 miles
Time: 2 hours (not including my 1.31 mile bike ride cause I forgot to time it)
I also did 23 minutes of weights and 2 hours of cleaning today that included lots of heavyish lifting.

Exercise Log - Week 15
Not horrible, not good. I had hoped to get in a walk today, but the evil humidity bug hit. I know, I know, I coulda gone this evening once the heat was better, but by then I was pooped from cleaning and organizing all day!
Mileage: 3.94m
Time: 1h 27m
Also spent about 2.5 hrs putting in the garden. Tilling by hand and planting.

Walking
I did Brianna's 3km (1.86m) route by myself tonight. My time was 26m 21s. Not happy. I even did 3 little running spurts in there. I know what the problem is though, my walking pace after I stop running is too slow. It was however, my first time running outside though, so I did have some slight incline changes. I hope to get a few more walk/runs in by myself to get the start/stop places in and then get Brianna to do the same walk/run with me. If they weather would stay nicer for more than 5 minutes too, we'd be able to get more walks in!

Exercise Log - Week 13
Crap all! Well, walking at least. Yup, we had a beautiful week and I did nooooooooooothing. And I probably won't get much done this week either since it's gonna rain all week.
I did at least shovel dirt for about an hour, trying to even out my garden after adding 4,346,876 sq feet of dirt. But yeah, that's it for the whole week.

Exercise Log - Week 12
I didn't do much this week cause we had non stop rain all week. I made up for it on Saturday though with almost 8 miles of walking! I also moved a bunch of garden stones from the back to the front yard. They weighed a ton!

Walking
Mine and Brianna's time for our 3km walk was 27 mins 46 sec. I was amazed at that cause I felt slowed down by the shin splint I developed only 5 minutes into the walk. I guess that really means I'm getting into better shape!

Triathlon
I introduced the idea of the triathlon to Brianna today. She seems interested. She's quite out of shape though. We walked the bike route (3km or 1.86m) at around a 3.8mph pace and she was out of breath a lot. We have lots of work to do! She's excited that she'll get a medal though (any child who competes gets one).
So right now, we'll stick to walking. I hope to have nice enough weather to do the routes 3-4 times a week. This will also be good for my exercise and I'll be tracking our times here. For the next 4 months, this will count for Brianna's Phys. Ed. class.
Today we did the bike route (3km or 1.86m) in 31m 48s.
